Dear Students, Parents, and Well-wishers, It is with great joy and a deep sense of purpose that I welcome you to Don Bosco School, Maynaguri — an institution built on the timeless vision of St. John Bosco, whose life's mission was to educate the young, especially through kindness, reason, and faith. Here, we continue that legacy every single day. Our Vision At Don Bosco School, we envision a community where every child is nurtured to become a person of strong character, sound knowledge, and compassionate heart — "Good Christians and Honest Citizens," as Don Bosco himself dreamed. We believe education is not merely about academic achievement, but about shaping individuals who are confident, empathetic, and equipped to serve the world with integrity. I am often reminded of a simple story from Don Bosco's own life. In 1841, on the feast of the Immaculate Conception, a young sacristan chased away a poor, ragged boy named Bartholomew Garelli from the sacristy for not knowing how to serve at Mass. Don Bosco stopped the sacristan, called the boy back gently, and instead of scolding him, sat with him, spoke kindly to him, and taught him a simple prayer. That one small act of patience and warmth toward a boy the world had overlooked became the seed of the entire Salesian mission — a mission that has since reached millions of children across the globe, including right here in Maynaguri. It is this same spirit we try to bring into our classrooms and corridors every day: no child is "too difficult" or "too ordinary" to matter; every child deserves someone who will stop, sit with them, and believe in them. Our Mission Our mission is to provide holistic education that balances academic excellence with moral, spiritual, and emotional growth. Ensuring inclusive growth — academically, physically, socially, and spiritually — for every child, regardless of background. Looking Ahead As we move forward, our goals are clear and ambitious. We aim to strengthen our academic programmes with modern pedagogy and technology-integrated learning, while never losing sight of our human touch. We are investing in stronger sports, arts, and co-curricular platforms to help our students discover and develop their unique talents. We are also deepening our focus on values education, life skills, and career guidance, so that our students leave these gates not just as good learners, but as good human beings, ready to face the world with courage and compassion.
